How To Choose The Best Affiliate Programs To Promote

There are thousands of affiliate programs out there. Selecting the best affiliate program to promote is not an easy task. If you start promoting wrong affiliate programs, you can waste a lot of time, money and effort. Here are the factors that you need to consider in order to choose those affiliate programs that are right for you:

1. Demand

Is there a demand for this product? To put it simply, do a lot of people want this product? Do you know what type of people would be interested in it? Do you have a clear idea on how you will reach those people and get them to the website?

2. Conversion

Do you think the sales page of the product will convert many visitors into buyers? Does it make the product and the offer look enticing enough? Is the website user-friendly? Is it easy to place an order?

When you look at the sales page, trust your gut. If you don’t feel like you’d be sold on this product if you were a prospect, you are probably right.

3. Commission

Is the commission rate high enough? Digital products (such as e-books) usually offer huge commissions (50% and up). Physical products (the ones that need to be shipped to the customer) usually pay 10% or less. Compare the affiliate program to similar ones in the same industry to see if the commission rate is fair.

In addition to the commission rate, pay attention to the dollar amount that you’ll get per sale. For example, 10% commission on a $100 product is $10, while 50% commission on a $4 product is only $2.

If the product is too cheap, you’ll need to sell a huge number of units in order to make any significant money. It’s often easier to sell several expensive items than lots of cheap ones. Aim for something in the middle – not extremely expensive but not too cheap.

4. Quality

Do you believe in the product? Would you be proud to promote it?

No matter how "hot" and lucrative the product is, if you have any reservations about the product quality, its purpose or its industry, then don't promote it. Protect your online reputation. Doing something that does not sit well with you is destined to be doomed from the start.

5. Tracking

When promoting affiliate programs, keep track of all your efforts. Track the number of visitors you send to each affiliate program and the number of sales that you make. When you accumulate enough data to compare, dump those programs that are not profitable and focus all your efforts on the ones that make you money.

If you build a website centered around mesothelioma you probably will have a hard time even getting a lot of traffic to your website because there will be so many websites out there trying to take advantage of this high bid keyword. To make matters worse there will be few people even looking at these types of websites in the first place, because not too many people are suffering or know anyone suffering from mesothelioma.

What to do when you've been scammed

The most important thing you can do if you've been scammed by an online program for a significant amount of money is to file a fraud complaint to the proper authorities. You can file a complaint with the IC3 which is The Internet Crime Complaint Center is a partnership between the FBI (Federal Bureau of Invetigation) and the NW3C (National White Collar Crime Center). Any body can file a complaint (even if you are not a US Citizen) and its absolutely free of charge. Once they receive your complaint then they will immediately start investigations and take any necessary action as required.

The IC3 website has a specific section dealing with Internet Ponzi and Pyramid schemes :

PONZI/PYRAMID

Ponzi or pyramid schemes are investment scams in which investors are promised abnormally high profits on their investments. No investment is actually made. Early investors are paid returns with the investment money received from the later investors. The system usually collapses. The later investors do not receive dividends and lose their initial investment.

Britney Spears is really messing her life up right now and the news is reporting that she might lose her kids because of her drug use and her drinking problems. One of her friends said this about her :

“She is a caring, devoted (mom), despite her crazy lifestyle,” Brit's pal told the paper. “The kids mean the world to her. However, she has finally come to terms with the fact that the way things are heading, she is going to lose them. She is absolutely petrified at that thought — and she knows she will not win full custody. So she has decided to reach a compromise with Kevin where she will have (primary) custody.”

I can't believe she is so stupid to drive with her kid on her lap and not in a child restrains and she shouldn't be getting all messed up on drugs or booze with her kids around. I feel sorry for the children to be in the middle of all this.

All Autosurfs Promoted by Jake of ASA are scams

I guess I'm just like everybody else who gets hooked on these stupid internet investment and surf sites because I saw so many people bragging that they were making thousands and thousands of dollars a month just by surfing the internet. The catch is you have to put your money in to get money out and the more you put in at the beginning the more you walk away with. The whole autosurf industry is the most corrupt business I have ever seen in my entire life and most people lose a lot of money to these criminals. All of the autosurf programs are really ponzi or pyramid schemes designed to pay the inner circle while ripping of the losers in the outer circle. I'm one of the loser, I lost almost $6000 in one year. Here is my story.

The place I started and the place I have to warn you to stay away from is a site known as ASA @ www.asamonitor.com. The site is run by the most crooked people I've ever seen. The owners name is Jake and he makes his living from leeching off newbies by promoting scams that he gets in first and knows when to take his money out or the crooked admins of the programs bribe him so he will let them post their new scams at his forum. He is a snake in the grass and he is a first rate con artist. Here is a typical post this scam promoter makes to announce a new program he is going to promote because it from one of his accompalises.

I listened to this guy several times and lost big money. When I complained about him, he banned me from his forums so his new victims wouldn't see what kind of a cheat and crook his is.

Look at the links Jake the Snake is promoting: MaximumSurfing and MaximumAdz both sites run by a serial scammer named Jack Cobb who ripped me off for almost $2000 in his scam called Planet-Trust. I learned how to lookup website registrations and I found out this information about Jack Cobb:

I called him and he tried to talk me into join the biggest autosurf scam going around right now - Mrs.ViP/Vlane Traffic By Mrs.Vee - This Mrs.Vee person is a real scab. She started out as a blogger exposing scammers in the autosurf industry and now she's used her reputation to start her own ponzi scheme.

Phoenixsurf gets busted by SEC

Code4Gold blog has posted that the SEC has finally brought charges against the scammers who ran Phoenixsurf last year. The took my $3000 and never make one payment to me. Promises for my refunds never happened and it makes me happy they got busted but not happy for I will never see my money back.
